Incense burner shaped pottery from Maeone site

Maeone site is one of the major settlement sites of the Middle Jomon Period (c. 3,500?2,500 BC) at the southwestern foot of Mt. Yatsugatake. The centerpiece of this site is an incense burner pot excavated intact from a large pit dwelling.
