Odoriba Wetlands

Nature/Japan Heritage/Natural Treasure
This is a wetland area in the Kirigamine Highlands. The wetlands served as essential watering holes for animals. For this reason, they were also an ideal hunting ground for the Paleolitic and Jomon people. Articles excavated from this area are stored and on display at the Suwa City Museum. These wetlands are a nationally designated Natural Monument.
