Artifacts of Haramachi Nogyokoko-mae site

Haramachi Nogyokoko-mae site is a village site from the Middle Jomon Period (c. 3,500-2,500 BC). One of the showpieces of this site is a pot decorated with a human face, which is a type of pottery from the Middle Jomon culture around Mt. Yasugatake as well as the pottery vessels of Kaidomae C site. However, the face of the pot is not designed with expressions of eyes, nose, or mouth.
