Artifacts of Kojinyama site
Cultural Heritage/Japan Heritage
Kojinyama site is one of the major villages of the Middle Jomon Period (c. 3,500?2,500 BC) around Suwa Lake. This site discovered carbonized seeds of cultivated plants, which indicate horticulture during the Jomon Period. The pottery vessels represent bountiful culture from the Middle Jomon around Suwa Lake. Seven pottery vessels were designated Nagano Prefectural Treasures in 2018.
