Dogu (clay figurines) excavated from the Hirohata site

The excavated dogu (clay figurine) depicts a "sitting birth," an image of childbirth practiced in days of old. It is a municipally designated Tangible Cultural Property. 40 dwellings have been discovered in the large village that makes up the Hirohata site. This is a municipally designated Historic Site.
