The highlights of Mekiri site are the clay figurine (dogu) holding a pot and the deep pot with a human face decoration on the rim from the Middle Jomon Period (c. 3,500?2,500 BC). The clay figurine was designated Okaya City Tangible Cultural Property in 2004.
