Articles excavated from the Umenoki site

Cultural Heritage/Japan Heritage
This was a circular colony from the middle Jomon period from which Jomon-era roads to close-by rivers and paving-stone dwellings along the river banks have been discovered. It is a nationally designated Historic Site. The archaeology park includes a guidance center with exhibitions and explanations of excavated articles, and local volunteers are currently working on recreating one of the ancient pit dwellings.
