Cultural Heritage/Japan Heritage
This Middle Jomon Period (c. 3,500?2,500 BC) clay figurine (dogu) was excavated from Katsurano site. The nickname of this clay figurine was named “Katakori” (stiff neck) based on the arm position, which appears as if a pregnant woman is massaging her own stiff neck.
