Kasugai Local History Museum
Museum
The Kasugai Local History Museum is located in Kasugai town, the capital of the ancient Kai Provence, and exhibits the history and culture of Kasugai town. It focuses on the ancient Teramoto temple (established in c. 7th century AD) and Jomon Culture under the theme of “1,000 years of Kai Provence, 1,000 years of the Jomon”. This museum is famous for well-organized archives of the war dead of this town. The Ogawa Masako memorial hall associated with this museum commemorates Ms Ogawa Masako (1902?1943) who was devoted herself to affirmative relief activities of Hansen’s disease sufferers.
