This collection contains about 1,200 items of restorable pottery. Most of the 1,116 dogu (clay figurines) were intentionally broken. In terms of quality and quantity of dogu, this site is by far the most prolific site in the country. The collection also contains a large pot with a flame-and-water pattern that is about 70 centimeters tall. More than 5,000 items from the Shakado site are nationally designated Important Cultural Properties.
