Artifacts of Uenohara site

Cultural Heritage/Japan Heritage
One of the centerpieces of Uenohara site is a pot called “suienmon” (flame-and-water pattern) pottery from the Middle Jomon Period (c. 3,500?2,500 BC). This pot is very iconic and was used as design pattern for the manhole cover of Nakamichi town where Uenohara site is located.
